Wow! We had two wonderful international trips this week! I am so exhausted from all the travel.

  1. In Peru I learned that in lake Titicaca their are man made islands made out of reeds. The houses on the island are also made out of reeds. My favorite part of Peru was when we got to visit Machu Picchu. In New Zealand I learned that the haka is a dance preformed by Maori people at the start of a rugby game to show their strength. My favorite part of New Zealand is when we went to the beach.

  2. For Peru l learned that Machu Picchu has 1,000 visitors per day! I thought it was cool that to make dye for clothing.People there use mashed beetles to make it. In New Zealand that the Haka is a dance that the rugby players do to warm up the fans. At the end of the Haka,the rugby players charge forward and shout AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats my favorite part of the Maori culture.

  3. In PERU I learned that lake Titicaca is a man made island. My favorite part of PERU was that they grind up a special kind of bug to make yarn a different color. In NEW ZEALAND I learned that the haka is a dance that is performed by the Maori people. It is also danced at the start of a rugby game to show their strength. My favorite part of NEW ZEALAND was the volcano explosion.

  4. In Peru I learned there are man made islands floating in Lake Titicaca that are made by reeds. My favorite parts of Peru were the market and El Sapo. In New Zealand I learned it had the people that could shear sheep the fastest.My favorite parts of New Zealand were the volcano and the airplane ride.

My favorite thing about Peru was when they showed us how they dyed cloth in Peru.A cool fact about Peru is that in lake Titi Caca there are man made islands made out of reeds almost everything is made out of reeds on the islands.My favorite part in new Zealand was when they did this volcano thing it was cool.A cool fact is that rugby players do a dance called the Haka the dance shows their power and their strength.A wonder I have is that who created the Haka?And whoever did I think he's kind of strange...

  6. My favorite thing about New Zealand is the WITIMO CAVE. I learned that if you touch the glow worms they lose their glow. my favorite thing in Peru was the market. and el sapo. I learned ONE THOUSAND PEOPLE visit Machu pechu EACH AND EVERY DAY. how amazing. I wonder if we will ever get to go to any of these con treys not in kinkaid.

  7. My favorite part from Peru is playing el sapo and i learned that each day 1,000 people go to machu pichu. from New Zealand my favorite part was watching the valcano erupt and who made haka that the rugby players dance the haka

  8. My favorite part of Peru was El Salpo. My favorite part of New Zealand was going on the plane thing, I also liked naming my sheep Ze ze. I learned in New Zealand there was a time that every one could have 22 sheep. I learned in Peru they made die out of bugs.

  9. My favorite part of New Zealand was the flight on the plane when we got to watch a video and my favorite part of Peru was El Sapo in which I got a total of 800 points. I learned that in the Waitomo caves the glow worms were carnivorous. The natives of Lake Titicaca make their island and home out of reeds. One of my favorite facts was that you could make dye out of plants and even insects!

  10. At New Zealand I loved the airplane experience. What I learned was that New Zealand is a beautiful place. In Peru I learned that die is like a science experiment. I loved both but if I had to choose witch one I loved more it would be ... Peru! (also my mom was there) (=

  11. I loved Peru and New Zeland! In Peru we played El Sapo. in New Zeland we saw are glow worms from art. I learned that in Preu they use bugs to die cloths and lipstick they said some lipstick in Houston is made of bugs. I am so exsied to tell my mom her lipstick is made of bugs [ha ha]!!!!! In New Zeland we learned that back then everybody who lived in New Zeland got 25 sheep[WOW] now they get 7 sheep [STILL WOW]. we learned about peruven enstrments. I loved the rain forest in Peru! my favorit was Peru beacuse we got to see the bug die by made. I wonder what place we will visit nexst year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. I loved Maorian dances with the ball and yarn. The glow worms from the Waitomo caves are in danger because people are touching them. I loved Machu Pichu and the market because we got cool friendship bracelets and we dyed llama hair. I learned that the islands on Lake Titicaca are man made and people who live there do not know other islands exist.

  15. I liked International Fair because they put learning and fun together. I liked Peru and my favorite station was Titicaca because we got to play with instruments. I also liked New Zealand's Christmas tree because it was different from ours. The volcano was neat because it had dry ice.

  18. i think i like peru better then new zeland. i really liked the rain forest. but i thout it was kinda cool that new zeland had the BEST TIMES AT THE SAME TIME!!! look CHRISTMAS and SUMMER!!!!!!!
