Thanksgiving is just a week away. Many of us will spend time with family and friends. Some of us are even traveling! This holiday gives us time to think about what we are grateful for. Please share some of your favorite traditions that you and your family do during this wonderful holiday! What are your turkey day plans? What are you especially thankful for? Today we started reading A Handful of Stars  by Cynthia Lord.  In the first chapter, we learned a bit about one of the characters Salma Santiago.  In chapter two, we learned a little more about Lilly, the main character.  What did we find out about Lilly? Write 2-3 sentences about Lilly. 

It has been so exciting to watch the Astros in the World Series.  Athletes also the same five stances that we have learned about--flexibility, empathy, persistence, resilience, and optimism--to help get better at their sport or bounce back from a loss.   Which stance do you think you using often?  Which stance do you think you need to use more often?  **Remember to leave your response in complete sentences.**
